Freshman Nicholas Bashenow plays Tenor Sax in University Singers. He's a graduate of Center Grove High School in Greenwood where he was heavily involved in the music program. Nicholas has been in everything from a professional string quartet to a Ska band; he loves joining new things and challenging myself in different ways. His greatest accomplishments include two world championships in indoor percussion, solos in front of thousands of marching band fans, awards at jazz programs, teaching others to play music, and most of all the ability to enjoy music to its fullest through understanding and appreciation. Nicholas also likes to sleep, play poker, and eat till I get sick. He's pretty good at all three. Says Nicholas, "I am a good writer, but don't like putting much effort in things outside of English class, which is why this bio is so dry."
