CABARET NIGHT PERFORMANCE
Photo Caption: During the past month, the University Singers have been busy polishing numbers and learning new pieces for the remaining performances this season. On Tuesday, January 27, we performed at Sursa Hall, bringing our vibrant songs of faith, hope, laughter, and love into this wonderful campus venue. This was the first time that we performed a solo show in Sursa Hall, which is normally reserved for more classic musical performances. The show received rave reviews from both students and faculty as we performed our University Singers Cabaret Night in honor of University Singers Day which took place on January 29th. If you are interested in seeing the performance, please visit the "media" section of our website!

Fond Moments
" I would say that Homecoming weeks were some of the best times in Singers, just cause there were SO many one liners that are still spoken between friends today. 'Chipper, non-chipper.' 'Yay, the ducks.' Seeing Kirby come out of the frat house in his underwear. '88 miles per hour.' The one word montage and the bowtie. The list goes on and on. Singers really made my time in college the best it could be, and I miss all of you. "
-Brian Lotter (99-04)
" Choosing just one memory is unbelievably difficult considering the hundreds of hilarious and memorable moments throughout my four years in the group. University Singers was my family and remains one of the most important things to me as it has given me some of the greatest friends I could ask for. "
-Molly Phelps (99-03)
"This group changed my life."
-Dan Baker (95-00)
" The Christmas trip to Washington DC in 2001 only months after the devastation of 9/11, we were the first group to be allowed into the Pentagon. We were honored to perform for the soldier's there and we also sang in the White House for DC police and firefighters. Lastly, we sang at the graveside in Arlington National Cemetery of the highest-ranking officer to be killed in the attack on the Pentagon on 9/11, who happened to be a Ball State Alumnus. I will never forget the heavy-hearted feeling of performing as the sun rose over the fog wrapped hillside. The small amount of joy that we got to share with those that had suffered so much is a memory I will long cherish."
-Josh Harrison (01-04)
Tips From Alums
" Be flexible - and be ready to do as little or as much as you need to do to get the best performance you can."
-Jeffrey Salmon (89-90)
"
For those in Singers now, enjoy every moment. You will always remember the times you are having now and will hopefully look back as fondly on your memories as I do on mine."
-Craig Golbesky (98-99)
